AOK would like to invite you to a fun evening of music and entertainment on Saturday 27 January 2024 at the Old Kilpatrick Scout Hut. Tickets are £5 per person (pay at the door), and bring your own food and drink.

AOK are joining The Big Help Out by running one of our regular village gardening sessions in Old Kilpatrick on Monday 8th May - all welcome to come and help, tools will be provided (but feel free to bring your own). Meet at 10am outside the shops in the centre of the village.
No gardening experience necessary - our volunteers will be on hand to advise what needs done and you can do as much or as little as you like, whether it's just for 10 minutes or a couple of hours!

We have had reports of an increase in dog poo and discarded poo bags around the village. We'd like to remind dog owners to be responsible and clean up after their dog or face a fine!

After a short hiatus during the Covid-19 pandemic when we were unable to meet and look after the village as much as wanted, and with the spring now in full swing, we are now back in action - and we have lots of plans!
Some of the activities we're looking to do in the near future:
- keep looking after all plant beds in the village (big planters at the village entrances, flower beds in front of the shops, the church corner bed, and Erskine View)
- grow plans, flowers and veg in the community greenhouse
- develop the area behind the Chatty Cafe and around our container on Erskine Ferry Road
- work with the council to keep the village looking beautiful
- monthly litter picks (see upcoming Events)
- continue to promote the Roman heritage of the village (Antonine wall, Roman fort) - Antonine Arboretum
- investigate the history and heritage of the village (visit our History and Heritage page)
- organise events for the village - Christmas panto, Santa parade, fundraisers
- any many more!
